The Bioinformatics Workpackage will develop computational strategies to facilitate the design of large-scale experiments in the Technology pillar, to analyse the various types of experimental data generated in the Biology Pillar and to integrate experimental results with existing knowledge and functional predictions (based on comparative genomics) to fuel modelling needs. WP3.1 will:
Build prioritised lists of TF and promoter-containing intergenic regions for cell array construction and TF tagging in WP1.1;
Tailor the design of the tiling DNA array for the specific needs of the project in collaboration with WP1.2;
Develop tools to enhance analyses of large-scale experiments carried out in WP2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 (living cell array, tiling DNA microarray, high throughput proteomics and metabolomics)
Develop methods for data-based identification of (relatively) independent cellular subsystems to allow for modularization of model development in WP 3.2.
